We are seeking a Receiving and Inventory Team Lead to oversee the efficient flow of products and materials within our warehouse operations.

Main Responsibilities

Receiving Duties:

  • Shipment Acceptance: Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and defects. Confirm the quantity and quality of received items against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Documentation Management: Ensure all shipments include the necessary documentation (invoices, delivery notes, etc.) and maintain organized records for future reference.
  • Goods Unloading: Safely unload products from delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment.
  • Item Sorting: Categorize and organize received items based on type, destination, and urgency.
  • System Updates: Input details of received products into the inventory management system, adjusting stock levels and noting any discrepancies.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned.

Inventory Management Responsibilities:

  • Organize and store inventory in designated areas, ensuring accessibility and proper labeling.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, locations, and movements.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Reconcile physical inventory with system records, investigate discrepancies, and report findings.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply without overstocking and assist in reordering as necessary.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and collaborate with management on disposal strategies.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers regarding delivery schedules and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams to ensure inventory meets operational needs.
  • Manage the return process for defective or incorrect items to suppliers.
  • Provide regular inventory status reports, highlighting shortages and surpluses.
  • Ensure all received goods meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Report quality issues or damaged goods to the appropriate department.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all receiving and inventory processes.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track and manage inventory effectively.
Qualifications
  • Experience operating forklifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with inventory methods, particularly FIFO (First In, First Out).
  • Technical proficiency with inventory management systems and software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
