As a Custodial Substitute at Rio Elementary, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our school facilities. This is an on-call position, where you will be notified by a computer program to report to work in the event of a custodial absence or need.

• Confer with school administrators to discuss custodial needs and requirements.
• Inspect school facilities to ensure they are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Perform security duties, including setting security alarm systems, locking and unlocking doors, and raising and lowering flags.
• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, and facilities, including restrooms, floors, and windows.
• Adjust and arrange furniture and equipment as needed.
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to building fixtures and equipment.
• Order and maintain custodial supplies and materials.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in custodial work or a related field.
• Valid State of California Class C driver's license (desirable).
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This position requires working in a school environment, both indoors and outdoors, and may involve exposure to sunlight, chemicals, and other environmental factors.
