Position Summary:
The Roofing Lead Foreman will play a crucial role in overseeing roofing operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality specifications. This position requires a hands-on leader with extensive experience in commercial, low-slope roofing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess and identify potential hazards in the work environment to ensure a safe working atmosphere for all employees.
2. Supervise and guide workers in the assigned area, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality benchmarks.
3. Maintain effective communication with team members and clients to foster positive relationships.
4. Investigate and resolve leaks, leading repair initiatives across various commercial roofing systems.
5. Safely navigate ladders and scaffolding to perform necessary tasks.
6. Assist in the handling and securing of materials during installation processes.
7. Uphold and enforce company safety protocols, ensuring all team members are informed and compliant.
8. Perform additional duties as required to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading, writing, and mathematical skills to interpret safety policies and material instructions.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Physically capable of standing or walking for extended periods, lifting materials over 50 pounds, and working at heights.
- Experience in crew leadership and professional customer communication is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in leak investigations and roofing repairs across various systems, including:
- TPO
- PVC
- Asphalt BUR/Gravel
- EPDM
- Cold Process
- Fluid Applied
- Reliable transportation and successful completion of a drug screening are required.
Benefits:
Western Construction Group offers a competitive compensation package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance with the company covering over 80% of premiums. Additional benefits include a $10,000 life insurance policy, a $10,000 accidental death and dismemberment benefit, and a generous 401k plan. Eligibility for benefits begins after 90 days of employment with a minimum of 30 hours worked per week.
