We are seeking a highly skilled Debt Counselor to join our team at ConServe. As a Debt Counselor, you will be responsible for managing and collecting delinquent business and consumer accounts in a consultative and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and collect delinquent business and consumer accounts
- Provide financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate repayment of accounts
- Address collection/accounts receivable issues and assist with special projects based on departmental goals and objectives
- Review Secretary of State, P & Ls, and various financial documents to ensure resolution is supportable
- Meet daily productivity metrics and adhere to ConServe's Blueprint Quality Management System, Code of Conduct, and Compliance Program
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
- One (1) year of ConServe collections experience or five (5) years of relevant 3rd party debt collection experience in Higher Education, Financial Services, or Government debt collection
- Consistent, proven twelve-month performance history
- Documented successful debt collection performance records
- Ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance and State Collections Licensure
- Ability to sit or remain sedentary for your entire work shift (8-, 9-, or 10-hour shift)
- Ability to talk and listen on a phone for your entire work shift (8-, 9-, or 10-hour shift)
- Ability to type on a computer for your entire work shift (8-, 9-, or 10-hour shift)
As a teleworker, you will work from a home or other remote office for all of the regularly scheduled work week. You will use telecommunication technologies, including soft telephones, virtual facsimiles, computers, electronic mail, and remote Internet connections to access work remotely on a pre-determined basis.
A secure internet connection, to plug in ConServe equipment into a hardline Ethernet port, and a private work area in which work activities can be conducted are required.
