Summary
An Aircraft Engine Technician II plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of turbine engines, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.

This position requires several years of hands-on experience in the overhaul and calibration of hydro-mechanical and pneumatic accessories related to turbine engines.

Key Responsibilities
The primary duties include:
  • Disassembly and assembly of engine components.
  • Conducting thorough inspections and repairs.
  • Performing subassembly testing and calibration.
  • Setting up and operating test benches.
  • Utilizing tools effectively and accurately.
  • Exhibiting strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Providing guidance and training to junior technicians.
  • Working with minimal supervision.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • The ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics.
  • Physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and clean workspace.
  • A&P certification or equivalent experience through education and practical work.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in turbine engine repair and overhaul.
  • Experience with J-85 engines is advantageous.
  • Strong command of the English language for understanding technical data.
EDUCATION
A high school diploma or GED is required.
