Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver primary healthcare services in alignment with Eventus WholeHealth's site-specific protocols, adhering to the standards of care in family medicine, geriatric medicine, and/or internal medicine as applicable to long-term care settings.
- Review and authorize Medication Administration Records (MARs) as requested, ensuring all orders for supervising Physicians are signed promptly, whether on-site or within 24 hours via fax or email, including phone orders. Address laboratory results within 24 hours of receipt. Manage scheduled medication prescriptions for patients in accordance with Eventus WholeHealth's policies.
- Allocate sufficient time during each visit for necessary paperwork and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with facility staff to enhance operational systems. Participate in care plan meetings and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QA/PI) meetings as requested.
- Submit documentation and billing records to Eventus WholeHealth according to established schedules.
- Foster open and constructive communication with facility personnel and administration. Provide verbal and/or written guidance regarding medications and other relevant caregiver information. Meet with the facility Administrator or designated care coordinator at the start and end of each patient care day.
- Stay informed about and comply with Eventus WholeHealth's standards, policies, and procedures. Be aware of and adhere to all legal and regulatory guidelines governing healthcare delivery.
- Uphold patient confidentiality at all times, ensuring appropriate use of communication methods, including cell phones, emails, text messaging, patient records, and electronic medical records (EMR). Commit to understanding and following HIPAA regulations and CPT coding guidelines.
- Licensed MD or DO
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care or Geriatric Care
- AMDA Certification is advantageous but not required
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Strong organizational capabilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
