About the Role:
As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of adults and children with mental illness on our acute psychiatric hospital unit. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering patient care, assisting with activities of daily living, providing secretarial support, leading goals/wrap up groups, and participating in direct/lead code secure activities.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe patients and report any unusual circumstances to licensed nurses.
  • Organize, prioritize, and provide nursing care in accordance with unit standards.
  • Complete admission/discharge processes and documentation according to unit standards in charts/EMRs.
  • Ensure patient safety rounds are conducted every 15 minutes or according to unit policy.
  • Perform activities of daily living and assist with meeting nutritional needs of patients.
  • Provide patient treatments as delegated, such as EKGs, Blood Glucose testing, I&Os, enemas, etc.
