**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Maryland Oncology. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists in the preparation, distribution, and inventory control of medications.

Responsibilities:

  • Medication Preparation: Prepare medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Order Verification: Check all orders for completeness of information, verify patient information, and ensure proper physician authorization.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory levels, receive and shelf medications, and assist in ensuring standard drug supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Quality Assurance: Check medications monthly for outdate and perform other quality assurance activities as assigned.
  • Documentation: Maintain proper control documentation of medications, including lot numbers, and complete inventory control of medications.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum three to five years of experience in a pharmacy with I.V. skills.
  • Certifications: I.V. certification preferred, Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirement recommended.
