Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of optical systems, including mechanical and thermal analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test procedures
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in optical systems design and development
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in optical systems design and development
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and thermal analysis, including CAD software and FEA
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with optical coatings and materials
  • Knowledge of thermal, mechanical, vibration, and shock effects on optical systems
  • Experience with CAD software, including SolidWorks
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires working in a professional office environment. The successful candidate will be required to sit for extended periods and use standard office equipment, including computers and phones.
