Hotel Painter

Job Summary:

The Grand Rapids Public Schools is seeking a skilled Hotel Painter to join our Maintenance Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the operation of the Paint Department and performing various painting tasks.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist in the operation of the Paint Department
• Perform various painting tasks, including removing graffiti from various surfaces and materials
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
• Be available for emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Interact with co-workers, administration, students, parents, and the community in a positive, supportive, and cooperative manner

Requirements:

• Knowledge and a minimum of five (5) years professional experience in the painting field
• Ability to layout and plan work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge, skill, and ability to remove graffiti from various surfaces and materials

Working Conditions:

Work is performed indoors, although there will be required outdoor activities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
