We are seeking a committed professional to help establish a robust Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) culture within our organization. This role is pivotal in collaborating with the Head of EH&S to design and implement comprehensive programs that promote safety and environmental stewardship across our operations.

Who You Are

You possess extensive experience in Environmental, Health, or Safety disciplines and are eager to deepen your expertise in all three areas. You thrive in hands-on environments, whether that means working closely with team members or developing the foundational systems that foster an exemplary EH&S culture. Your proactive approach is essential as we strive to make a meaningful impact in the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and address gaps and opportunities within the company’s EH&S framework, prioritizing and executing action plans effectively.
  • Lead the development and implementation of various EH&S programs, including:
    • Safety protocols such as lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and fall protection.
    • Environmental initiatives focusing on air quality management, waste reduction, and greenhouse gas emissions.
    • Health and wellness programs, including respiratory protection and ergonomics.
    • Fostering a culture of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP).
    • Creating engaging training materials and educational resources.
    • Ensuring physical security measures are in place to protect our facilities and personnel.
  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, adapting to various tasks from signage placement to high-level presentations.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in EH&S within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field related to EH&S or a similar scientific discipline.
  • Proficient in researching and understanding regulations and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Strong project management skills to ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.
  • Excellent communication abilities, adaptable to various audiences from the shop floor to executive leadership.
  • A collaborative mindset focused on finding effective solutions aligned with our mission.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in a relevant EH&S discipline.
  • Certifications such as CSP or CIH, or a commitment to obtain them.
  • A passion for Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles.
