POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Loom Maintenance Technician is tasked with the upkeep and repair of mechanical systems utilized in a series of looms that transform yarn into fabric.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for setting up, adjusting, and repairing looms to produce fabric that meets specified quality and design standards, utilizing knowledge of loom operations, weaving schematics, and manuals by interpreting and executing written directives.
2. Perform lubrication and maintenance on moving components of mechanical systems, adhering to established procedures and verbal instructions while interpreting and executing written directives.
3. Modify loom configurations to create various patterns or utilize different types of yarn.
4. Address requests from fellow technicians and collaborate with other maintenance personnel to complete tasks efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must demonstrate proficiency on the TABE assessment in reading and mathematics at an 8th grade level or higher, or possess a silver national career readiness certificate.
2. Completion of the Wiesen Mechanical Comprehensive Test is mandatory for this role.
3. A minimum of 2 years of verifiable mechanical experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting is preferred.
4. Familiarity with mechanical operations is advantageous.
5. Understanding of weaving processes is beneficial.
6. Previous experience in weaving and mechanical roles within the weaving department is preferred.
7. Candidates will be required to undergo a hands-on mechanical assessment and interview for this position.
