Position Overview

The Forklift Operator I plays a crucial role in the logistics operations by efficiently managing the movement of goods within the warehouse environment. This position is essential for ensuring the safe handling of materials and maintaining high standards of product quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct full case order picking for inventory replenishment and customer orders.
  • Retrieve and store pallets within a narrow aisle bulk rack storage system.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure transaction accuracy.
  • Load and unload pallets and cases from delivery vehicles and conveyor systems, utilizing both manual and powered equipment.
  • Sort and assemble products onto pallets to meet customer specifications.
  • Utilize machinery for applying shrink wrap to pallets for secure transport.
  • Complete pre- and post-operation equipment inspections.
  • Maintain accurate storage records through daily cycle counts and routine inventory checks.
  • Assist with various distribution tasks as required based on operational demands.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in operating basic powered material handling equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Compliance with all personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work at heights safely.
  • Strong attention to detail, urgency, and adaptability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Team-oriented approach.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements

  • Adhere to established policies and procedures.

  • Perform basic mathematical calculations.
