Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to product, membership, and REI service questions, general inquiries, and customer feedback.
- Maintain and stock work areas, ensuring all items are accurately priced.
- Work with store management, visual merchandising, and sales teams to maintain visual standards.
- Promote the sale of REI goods and services, engaging in sales and service training.
- Process purchase, membership, service, and return transactions at the register, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
- Perform unique transactions, such as special orders, Outdoor School registration, and store mail-outs.
- Identify, research, and resolve customer issues.
- Support Retail Store Pick-Up by assisting with product receipt and customer pick-up.
- Maintain customer and employee hold areas, ensuring organization and timely removal of items.
- Previous retail store experience preferred.
- Actively participate and collaborate with team members and across REI for business goals.
- Flexible in viewpoints and positions to support REI's direction.
- Use business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment to solve problems and pursue business opportunities.
- Consolidate information from various sources to reach sound decisions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Knowledgeable of outdoor activities in assigned department.
- Consider the ultimate impact of decisions and actions on internal and external customers.
- Work smart by setting effective work goals, establishing priorities, and planning well to produce quality work.

- Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.
