Swim Instructor Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Swim Instructor to join our team at the Altoona Campus. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for students to learn swimming skills and water safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement swimming lessons plans for students of all ages and skill levels.
  • Provide effective and patient instruction to students, ensuring they meet their learning goals.
  • Maintain a safe and organized swimming environment, adhering to all pool rules and regulations.
  • Communicate with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.
Requirements:
  • Must be 15 years old or older.
  • Must have a current Red Cross lifeguard certification or CPR for the professional rescuer certification.
  • Must attend a Campus Swim training course prior to the start of the swim lessons session.
  • Must have effective communication skills, be patient, and maintain a positive attitude.
