Catering Server Job Description

At McMenamins, we're seeking a skilled Catering Server to join our team. As a Catering Server, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and customers during private events and public gatherings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, run, and break down events, including setting up tables, chairs, bars, and AV equipment
  • Serve food from fine dining to buffet style, pouring and serving beer, wine, and spirits
  • Wait on and bus tables, checking IDs of patrons purchasing alcoholic beverages
  • Provide coffee and water service, resetting event spaces, and restocking supplies
  • Wash dishes, perform general cleaning, and attend to customer needs

Requirements:

  • Obtain and maintain current food handlers and OLCC/WA liquor license
  • Ability to accurately handle cash and work with numbers
  • Working knowledge of all potential function areas of the property and/or location
  • Flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events

Essential Functions:

  • Provide excellent customer service in a high-volume environment
  • Safely lift and carry heavy objects with a hand truck or assistance
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a high-volume, deadline-oriented work environment
  • Value diversity and ability to work with individuals from different backgrounds
  • Work for long periods on feet, including frequent walking, stair climbing, and working outdoors in varied weather conditions
