Job Summary

As the Head of Tax and Director at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will lead the global tax department and oversee tax matters, developing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and support business growth. You will manage tax compliance across our global operations, identify opportunities for tax savings and optimization, and collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to tax matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and support business growth
  • Manage tax compliance across our global operations, including transfer pricing, tax incentives, and international tax planning
  • Identify opportunities for tax savings and optimization, and develop plans to implement them
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Legal, Finance, and Operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to tax matters
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of outside tax professionals serving Booz Allen Hamilton

Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience with global taxation, including progressively responsible roles in a multinational corporation or tax consulting firm
  • Experience in building relationships with tax authorities in various jurisdictions, representing the company during tax audits or negotiations, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to identify tax issues, opportunities, and upcoming tax legislation to ensure our business strategy can be achieved
  • Ability to convey complex tax concepts to leadership in various functional areas, including C-suite executives and Investor Relations
  • Ability to oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, foreign, and local tax returns, estimates, and extensions
  • Ability to review the Company's quarterly and annual accounting income tax provision, including related financial statement disclosures and internal controls
  • Ability to work closely with external advisors and advise Corporate Development on tax issues related to M&A and strategic investments
  • Ability to display excellent ethical values and commitment to compliance and integrity
  • Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Finance, Accounting, and Business

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with federal government contractor
  • Possession of excellent management and leadership skills in both in-house and outsourced environments
  • Possession of excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Master's degree
  • CPA License preferred
