Position Summary

The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role in executing Kantar's global finance strategy, collaborating with various teams across our Corporate and Business Services divisions. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional financial strategies, insights, and solutions tailored to your Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with the Business Unit leaders, acting as a strategic finance partner and the primary finance contact for leadership.
  • Oversee the annual planning and forecasting processes for the Business Unit, developing key financial assumptions in collaboration with other departments.
  • Manage the Business Unit planning cycle, ensuring compliance with divisional timelines.
  • Review and validate Business Unit financial plans before they are presented to leadership.
  • Analyze revenue streams and implement strategies to enhance revenue and contribution margins, integrating these insights into forecasts and plans.
  • Assist in the monthly closing process, identifying discrepancies against expectations.
  • Work closely with HR to align workforce planning with revenue forecasts and direct expenses.
  • Enhance business performance by providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to support leadership decision-making.
  • Deliver monthly performance insights compared to forecasts and annual plans.
  • Act as the primary contact for strategic finance support within the North American sector.
  • Provide valuable insights and support for commercial decisions based on thorough analysis.
  • Take ownership of initiatives, ensuring that commercial impacts and benefits are tracked effectively.
  • Review financial outputs to ensure accuracy and integrity of business results.
  • Ensure that standard performance reports meet the needs of the Business Unit while providing ad-hoc analysis as necessary.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring capital and operational expenditure cases.
  • Support audit activities by providing qualitative inputs and necessary commentary.
  • Ensure adherence to local controls in line with Group Controls policy.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Membership in a recognized professional accounting body (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or an MBA.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • A solid understanding of the internal and external factors influencing business performance.
  • Experience in preparing and evaluating capital investment cases.
  • Experience in a global, data-driven, and matrixed organization.
  • Proven ability to apply financial expertise to solve complex business challenges and communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders.
  • A strong service orientation with hands-on customer service experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior management.
  • A strong business acumen with the ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Capability to lead challenging discussions with integrity.
  • A collaborative approach to working with colleagues at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to develop practical solutions to address challenges and seize new opportunities.

  • Familiarity with financial systems (preferably SIA, One Stream, Maconomy, PowerBI, Tableau).
