Transmission Foreman

MasTec Utility Services is seeking a skilled Transmission Foreman to lead our crew in completing daily tasks related to the placement of overhead electrical cables. This role requires strong leadership and technical expertise to ensure crew safety, quality, and timeliness.

• Obtain necessary materials and ensure permits and licenses are in place.
• Oversee project work, assuming full responsibility for quality and timeliness.
• Comply with safety standards, procedures, and work practices.
• Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections.
• Perform aerial tasks, such as new cable installs and pole transfers.
• Place overhead electrical cables and connect wires and cables to terminals.
• Coordinate and supervise daily tasks for crew members.
• Perform construction work, such as digging holes and placing cable.
• Climb utility poles and operate equipment to assist crews.
• Train new hires and trainees to learn the trade.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 years of experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.

• 8 or more years of experience, including extensive supervisory and training experience.
• OSHA 20 Certification.

This job operates in a field environment, requiring extended periods of physical activity, including bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting. The role also involves working in inclement weather conditions.
