Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician - ECG Specialist to join our team at WVU Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrocardiograph (ECG) related procedures while promoting the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all ECG related procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate outpatient testing with inpatient demands, prioritizing emergency requests and "stat" calls.
  • Prep patient skin according to policy and procedure to ensure the best possible recording.
  • Remove holter monitor at scheduled time, complete necessary paperwork and computer work.
  • Answer the ECG lab's phones within five rings in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Visual acuity (corrected) - keen for both distant and near objects/individuals.
  • Ability to access the computer system to retrieve and reproduce completed holter monitor exams.
  • Basic computer skills.
Work Environment

The Electrical Technician - ECG Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
