Job DescriptionJob Title: Commercial Lender I
About the Role:
- The Commercial Lender I is responsible for originating, managing, and supervising the company's portfolio of commercial loans, typically up to $15 MM, with the overall objective of maintaining and increasing its asset quality.
- Develop new and existing business relationships, while thoroughly understanding relevant legal parameters, internal policy and procedures, FDIC guidance, relevant accounting issues, compliance with regulations, and audit standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Submit financial information to Credit Analyst for spreadsheet preparation or perform own spreadsheet preparation.
- Perform detailed analysis on Borrowing Entity/Primary repayment source, Guarantors, and collateral valuation.
- Participate in developing lending and deposit business for the Bank, calls on clients to expand existing business, and represents the Bank in various civic and community functions.
- Monitor existing loan portfolio to maintain a high-quality asset base, maintain up-to-date client files, and take applications for commercial loan business.
- Utilize decisioning tools and credit analysis skills to make appropriate credit and structuring decisions, while complying with applicable laws and regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Adhere to First Bank of Wyoming's Core Values, keep management informed of area activities, and participate in Community Service and Bank-sponsored activities.
- Provide superior internal and external customer service, demonstrate self-governance, courtesy, and respect, and represent First Bank of Wyoming in a professional manner.
- Keep work area tidy, maintain customer privacy, and participate in required training, staff meetings, and lobby displays.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required to accomplish job responsibilities.
About You:
- Education and Experience:
- 0 - 2 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience required.
- Associates degree is required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, ten-key, and general computer applications are required.
- Working knowledge of standard office equipment is also required.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is necessary.
