Job Summary

Horizon Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee the Behavioral Health Program at our facility. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a high-quality treatment program, as well as providing strategic planning, program administration, and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison between the Program, Hospital, and Horizon, communicating information and needs effectively.
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction in accordance with Hospital guidelines, ensuring the Program meets and maintains all federal, state, local, and accrediting bodies' regulations and standards.
  • Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical supervision for Program nursing, counseling, patient support, and administrative staff, ensuring accurate reporting and recording of patient symptoms, reactions, and progress.
  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and update all policies and procedures for the Program in coordination with assigned VP, Clinical Practice.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, interview, and select qualified staff for the Program, as well as provide professional growth and development opportunities through individual training plans and participation in training programs.
  • Treatment Program Development: Define goals and objectives of the treatment program under the direction of hospital administration and Horizon leaders, collaborating with medical and clinical staff to coordinate and manage medical and psychosocial treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Education: Active RN license; BSN desired, with a post-graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of Substance abuse experience preferred, with CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
