As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and leading a team of kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Set up stations with all necessary supplies and equipment
• Handle, store, and rotate all products properly to ensure freshness and quality
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, adhering to company recipes and standards
• Follow proper cooking techniques for all dishes, ensuring consistency and quality
• Ensure food quality and timeliness, meeting customer expectations and company standards
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to company and state regulations
• Comply with all nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations and standards
• Maintain a positive and respectful approach with everyone, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
• Report all unsafe working conditions, operational needs, and equipment or aspects of the kitchen in need of repair to management
• Assist with labor management, COGS management, inventory control, and maintenance and repair (M&R) tasks
• Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives
**Requirements**
• 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• Knowledge of COGS and inventory management, with experience in controlling costs and optimizing operations
• Servesafe certification and knowledge of food safety regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a positive and respectful attitude
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50lbs, and perform other tasks as required
