Position Responsibilities:
The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients referred to the Speech Therapy Department. This role involves conducting clinical assessments tailored to the patient's diagnosis and developing treatment plans that are goal-oriented based on the evaluation results and the patient's personal objectives, ensuring they are functional, measurable, and achievable. The professional assists patients in reaching their goals through effective treatment strategies and interventions. Timely and appropriate discharge plans and recommendations are made to address the anticipated needs of the patient.
Qualifications:
- Education: A master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required.
- Licensure: Must hold a valid license in the State of Indiana as a Speech Language Pathologist and possess CPR certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a Speech Therapy Clinic Setting is preferred, although new graduates in their Clinical Fellowship Year from an accredited program will be considered (not applicable for PRN positions).
