Job Summary
McFarland Clinic is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join its team on a part-time basis. As an MLT, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and process blood, urine, and other specimens for testing.
- Perform routine and advanced laboratory procedures, including quality control and instrument maintenance.
- Utilize the clinic information system and laboratory information system to manage patient data and test results.
- Assist in the orientation of new employees and contribute to maintaining lab supply inventory.
- Participate in required meetings and committees to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
Requirements
- Associate degree in medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution or equivalent.
- Certification in MT/MLS (ASCP) or MLT (ASCP) and/or eligibility for certification in MT/MLS (ASCP).
- Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
- Mandatory Reporter of Dependent Adult and Child Abuse.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of laboratory experience.
- Excellent customer service and phone skills, with experience in scheduling appointments.
Work Schedule
As needed, Monday through Friday, with hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
