Mammography Technician PRN Position

We are seeking a PRN Mammography Technician to join our team at HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital. As a Mammographer, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures, including stereotactic, ABBI, and breast needle localization procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate, and respectful manner, obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation.
  • Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated.
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to the exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist.
  • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of the table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications.
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of current/recent diagnostic imaging experience (hospital or outpatient setting).
