**Job Summary**

This position is responsible for delivering exceptional experiences for University of Central Missouri guests by overseeing all aspects of audio-visual equipment and supporting Meeting and Conference Services staff with event hosting tasks on campus.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Setup, operation, and takedown of audio-visual equipment on campus
  • Organization, maintenance, installation, and minor repair of equipment
  • Providing customer service, unlocking doors, and assisting Campus Event Managers
  • Preparing written shift reports

**Requirements and Preferences**

  • Experience operating an audio console to mix 2 or more microphones
  • Experience assisting with equipment in a typical classroom on campus
  • Additional audio-visual related experience
  • Preference given to students majoring in Music Technology, Digital Media Productions, or Theater Technology with a completed Sound Reinforcement course
  • Work Study preferred but not required

**Working Conditions**

  • Weekends and summer required
  • 80% of shifts scheduled with 2 weeks or more notice
  • 20% of shifts scheduled with 0-14 days notice

**Education and Skills**

  • Computer skills in Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, and Presentation
  • Attention to detail, communication skills, and physical abilities
