We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a night shift role in our Rehabilitation and MedSurg unit. This position requires a professional who is committed to providing exceptional nursing care and can work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- May serve as a backup Charge Nurse when needed.
- Coordinates comprehensive nursing care for patients.
- Engages in educational activities for patients and their families.
- Demonstrates leadership by collaborating with nursing staff and other healthcare team members to uphold professional nursing standards.
Utilizing Cerner for electronic medical records, the nurse will manage a patient load with a typical ratio of 1 nurse to 4 or 5 patients. The average daily patient census is approximately 22.
Important Notes: Any requested time off during the assignment must be documented and approved prior to submission. A maximum of 5 days of time off is permissible. Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position.
This role requires the candidate to have their own transportation, as public transport is not available in the area.
Orientation and CompensationThere will be an 8-hour non-billable orientation. Compensation details include call-back, holiday, and overtime multipliers at 1.25%, with specific rates for call and charge duties.
Qualifications- 2 years of recent experience in MedSurg and Rehabilitation is required.
- Ability to float between Acute Rehabilitation and MedSurg units.
- Charge RN experience is mandatory.
- Previous travel nursing experience of at least 3 months is required.
- A BSN is preferred.
