Job Summary:

The Machinist/Assembler position at Threaded Fasteners, Inc. is responsible for manufacturing parts that meet all required specifications. The successful candidate will use correct machinery to produce each part and assemble the machine that the components are manufactured for.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate a variety of machinery, including manual mills, lathes, saws, grinders, and forklifts.
  • CNC programming and operating a vertical and horizontal HASS Milling Machine is a plus.
  • Making parts and holding them to the tolerances dictated by the print.
  • Developing a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specifications.
  • Inspecting finished parts for flaws and defects.
  • Maintaining equipment located throughout the machine shop.
  • Keeping a well-maintained and organized workspace.
  • Inventorying parts and tools used in the assembly process.
  • Testing finished products and defects.
  • Assembling equipment from prints and bill of materials.

Requirements:
  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to read all necessary gauges.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of each machine and their functions.
  • Reading, writing, and math skills are essential.
  • Math skills to take precise measurements and make calculations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans.
  • Ability to read assembly prints and bill of materials for the equipment we design and manufacture at this facility.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Machining in a Tool and Die industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years prior experience in the trade, or journeyman card holder.
  • Use of micrometers, calipers, and other industry gauging.

  • Qualified applicants must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds for 4+ hours per shift.
  • Working in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environments.
  • Working in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift.
  • Bending and crawling for 4+ hours per shift.
  • Crouching, kneeling, and stooping for 4+ hours per shift.
  • Climbing ladders for 4+ hours per shift.
  • Sitting, standing, and walking for 6+ hours per shift.
  • Performing simple grasping, push, pull, fine manipulation, and feeling for 6+ hours per shift.
  • Operating foot pedals for 4+ hours per shift.
  • Making fine distinctions in sound, expressing and exchanging written or spoken word, and distinguishing objects and equipment visually.
