Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual looking to join a reputable law firm in California? JDS Law, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Litigation Paralegal to support our legal team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a reasonable caseload of probate and civil litigation matters to help clients protect their assets.
  • Perform thorough legal research and collaborate with attorneys to develop effective legal arguments.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and responses, to ensure cases progress smoothly.
  • Coordinate discovery and litigation calendars, track deadlines, and ensure attorneys are prepared for court appearances.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and in the courtroom.
  • Interact with clients, court clerks, probate examiners, opposing parties, and opposing counsel.
Qualifications:
  • Must meet the Business & Professions Code definition of Paralegal.
  • 2+ years of recent hands-on experience with cases filed in California courts; probate court experience is highly valued.
  • Working knowledge of the California Rules of Court and Code of Civil Procedure is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 is required.
  • Familiarity with Clio Grow and Clio Manage is highly preferred.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, superior communication skills, and practical organizational skills are crucial for this position.
