Position Summary:
The Quality Improvement (QI) Assistant plays a vital role in the daily operations of the Strategy department. This position involves assisting in the formulation and execution of departmental policies and procedures, coordinating data collection and entry, conducting analysis and reporting, and researching best practices and regulatory standards. The QI Assistant contributes to the development and upkeep of organizational policies, supports accreditation efforts, performs risk assessments, and tracks unusual incidents to foster continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the data entry process, ensuring accurate collection, organization, and preliminary analysis to meet organizational goals.
- Assist in creating and implementing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across departments.
- Support accreditation and audit processes through thorough research and compliance with relevant standards.
- Engage with external organizations to gather data on policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of organizational policies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Track unusual incidents to inform strategies for organizational improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote continuous improvement.
- Assist in the research and development of policies related to Quality Improvement and Risk Management.
- Support ongoing Quality Improvement initiatives, including accreditation processes and stakeholder satisfaction surveys.
- Provide assistance to the QI & Training Coordinator and support organizational tracking, evaluation, and reporting efforts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of advanced education towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and organizational development, particularly in child welfare.
- Familiarity with accreditation processes and compliance standards.
- Proven experience in tracking and reporting incidents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
