Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Empire Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery - Albany. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of oral surgeons.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment
Conduct thorough reviews of patient health history to provide quality care
Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology
Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures
Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations
Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed

Qualifications:
Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year
