Job Title: Accounting Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Accounting Instructor to join our team at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. As an Accounting Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of accounting, providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in their careers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach accounting courses to students, including financial accounting, managerial accounting, and taxation.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students and industry partners.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement departmental and college-wide initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Master's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Two years of direct occupational experience in accounting, including experience in financial accounting, managerial accounting, and taxation.
  • CPA certification desirable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and sensitivity to and understanding of a diverse community of college students, faculty, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous teaching experience with adult learners.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends.
