About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Engineer to join our team at Magna Electric Vehicle Structures. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise for robotic applications to ensure product quality and continuous improvement to the manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise for robotic applications to ensure product quality and continuous improvement to the manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshoot robotic systems, perform preventative and predictive maintenance on systems to minimize downtime, while keeping safety as a priority.
  • Provide training and technical support to Production and Skilled Trade Team members.
  • Participate in Line or project sourcing, including rfi/rfq creations and alignment during sourcing process.
  • Identify and perform continuous improvement activities to improve safety, increase productivity and reduce production cost, by development and improvement of electrical control systems.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years' experience with robots and PLC control systems in a robotic welding process environment, preferably in an industrial automotive setting.
  • High School Diploma or GED and at least a 2-year degree from an accredited technical college or post-secondary school with emphasis on Robotics.
  • Fanuc DCS Certification preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, CAD viewer programs.
