Job Title: Payroll Supervisor

SWBC is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Supervisor to join our team. As a Payroll Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining high confidentiality and effective communication of all employee-related payroll information.

This is an onsite position, and you will be working closely with our payroll team to ensure the smooth processing of payroll for our clients.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Processes payroll for client companies and supervises selected members of the payroll team.
  • Works with clients to resolve payroll issues.
  • Interacts with client companies and employees regarding payroll questions and problem resolution.
  • Enters and ensures new hires are processed correctly in timekeeping systems.
  • Audits the payment of high compensation, bonus payments, and child support arrearage lump sum payments.
  • Initiates direct deposits when necessary.
  • Verifies accuracy of information, checking for possible FLSA violations.
  • Processes employee payment types.
  • Maintains client contact information and list of standard client reports.
  • Assists payroll specialists with labor issues, tax withholding, deductions, documentation, and data changes.
  • Maintains knowledge of government contract requirements, including certified payroll reporting, wage decisions, fringe benefits, and job classifications.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in payroll processing, garnishments, and general deductions.
  • CPP certification preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of processing job-costed and certified payrolls.
  • Strong working knowledge of personal computers and payroll database systems.
  • Working knowledge of handling routine payroll tasks and effectively communicating results.
  • Knowledge of time clock systems.
