We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Chemical Treatment Technician. Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely load, unload, and process both hazardous and non-hazardous chemical waste materials at a licensed waste treatment facility, either independently or under supervision.
  • Engage in physical tasks such as walking, standing, climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 70 pounds), carrying, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
  • Work with and around chemicals and environmental contaminants in both indoor and outdoor settings, while adhering to safety protocols and wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Process hazardous chemical waste in compliance with company procedures and relevant EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
  • Safely operate a fork truck for moving drums and materials.
  • Utilize a barcode system to review laboratory data for proper handling and disposal of materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in operating areas, including walls, pipes, and floors.
  • Conduct chemical compatibility checks to avoid reactions and other safety issues.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures while performing work tasks.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
  • 24 or 40 Hour Hazwoper certification is advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
