Physicist - AdventHealth Shawnee Mission

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Physicist to join our team at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. As a Physicist, you will apply the principles and theories of physics to improve medical equipment and technology to help diagnose and treat patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify accuracy of all dosimetric plans and provide care for all Oncology patients.
  • Conduct research and experiment in the area of structure and properties of matter, transformation and propagation of energy and the relationships between matter and energy.
  • Develop processes and procedures related to these relationships.
  • Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements and yearly calibration on all treatment units.
  • Monitor equipment in Radiation Oncology to ensure it is functioning safely.
  • Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.
  • Analyze alternative treatment plans, supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.
