Job Summary: As a key member of our production team at UFP Industries, the Assembler II plays a vital role in fabricating component parts or assembling finished products according to customer specifications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Completes work area setup and ensures a safe and organized workspace
  • Fits parts together in accordance with quality standards and prescribed methods
  • Operates presses and machinery, as well as hand tools, to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products and ensures compliance with established procedures
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment, and ensures equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any issues or concerns
  • Maintains production records and performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures
  • Participates in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products, with 1 year of experience or more preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math and ability to perform calculations
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
