At Spherion, we are seeking a highly skilled Loss Mitigation Specialist to join our team. As a Loss Mitigation Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping borrowers avoid foreclosure and retain their dream of homeownership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial information to assess borrower income and develop viable solutions to prevent foreclosure.
  • Create payment plans that allow borrowers to make loan payments and avoid default.
  • Educate borrowers on available options and resources to help them stay in their homes.
  • Maintain communication with borrowers and address their concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage loss mitigation documents and perform quality assurance on work to ensure compliance with company policies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years' underwriting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of default loss mitigation servicing, specifically with FHA loans, is a plus.
  • Experience on a mortgage servicing platform is also a plus.
  • Ability to work with vendors and other departments to obtain documentation when needed.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage time.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
