Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician II - Critical Care to join our trauma hospital team at the Arizona Humane Society. As a key member of our team, you will provide top-notch care to critically ill and injured animals, working closely with veterinarians and other medical professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.

Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians in all aspects of medical services, including surgery, radiology, dentistry, laboratory diagnostics, client education, clinic asepsis, fluid therapy, and medication administration. Perform phlebotomy, immunology, parasitology, endocrinology, pharmacology, and safe and humane animal handling. Be proficient in anesthesiology, vaccine administration, implanting microchips, prep, fluid therapy, laboratory procedures, injections, and medication. Utilize Microsoft Office and Chameleon software to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues. Collaborate with team members to achieve exceptional patient outcomes and continuously improve our services.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a veterinary technician program, and 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital or clinic. You should also possess strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Chameleon software is a plus. A Day in the Life: As a Veterinary Technician - Trauma Hospital Specialist at the Arizona Humane Society, you will work alongside our dedicated team to provide comprehensive care to injured and sick animals. Your day will include assisting veterinarians in emergency surgeries, performing routine laboratory tests, and maintaining accurate records. You will also participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with the latest medical techniques and technologies.
