A rewarding opportunity awaits a Medical Assistant to join our team at Avera Aberdeen Family Physicians. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced clinical environment.

About the Job

This full-time position involves performing various medical and clerical duties to assist clinic patients, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to address practice-related challenges and provide excellent patient outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with an associate degree or diploma preferred;
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training preferred;
  • National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); or National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT); or National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association and Medical Assistant diploma.
Work Schedule

The successful candidate will be required to work day shifts, 72 hours every 2 weeks, with specific hours including Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Friday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Competitive Compensation Package

We offer a highly competitive hourly rate between $19.25 and $27.00 per hour, dependent on experience, plus additional benefits such as sign-on bonus, paid time off available on Day 1, options for free health insurance, and opportunities for career growth and advancement.
