Job Overview
The primary duties of the Administrative Support Specialist include managing the Store Management Office, executing operational administrative tasks, overseeing scheduling, balancing cash functions, distributing reports to the management team, facilitating the hiring process, handling HR responsibilities, and serving as the HR liaison for store personnel.

Key Responsibilities
1. Organize and coordinate all incoming communications, including faxes, emails, memos, letters, newsletters, and phone calls from customers, employees, management, or the public.
2. Maintain a professional demeanor that reflects Bloomingdale's commitment to customer service.
3. Oversee the hiring process, including prescreening applicants, communicating with candidates, and scheduling interviews with management.
4. Input employment data into the Job Requisition System and manage new hire documentation, orientation, and training sessions.
5. Balance the vault and store checkbook, performing cash functions daily.
6. Act as a liaison for maintenance requests and train colleagues on repair procedures.
7. Complete weekly store newsletters, manage the bulletin board program, and organize recognition initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- Resourceful and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
