Structural Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team at Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing the structural systems of buildings and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials.
  • Conduct field investigations and develop concept designs.
  • Create construction documents for clients across a broad range of markets.
Requirements:
  • 4-6 years of structural design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with Structural Concentration from an ABET accredited program.
  • Experience with structural design and analysis software (RISA, STAAD, etc.).
  • Experience with drafting and modeling software (Revit and AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, etc.).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in civil engineering with Structural Concentration preferred.
  • Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred.
