Director of Medicinal Chemistry

As a Director of Medicinal Chemistry, you will play a key role in driving the company's research and development efforts, leveraging your expertise in medicinal chemistry to design, synthesize, and characterize novel compounds with therapeutic potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide scientific leadership in the design and development of medicinal chemistry strategies to deliver high-quality preclinical candidates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biology, pharmacology, and toxicology, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and implement innovative synthetic methodologies and techniques to design novel compounds with desired properties.
- Interpret biological and ADME/PK data to inform compound design and optimization.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones and deliver IND-ready drug candidates for First in Human (FIH) clinical testing.
- PhD in medicinal chemistry and/or organic chemistry with a minimum of 7-10 years of industry experience in early discovery research.
- Proven track record of scientific publications, patents, and delivery of clinical product candidates.
- Strong knowledge of medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, ADME, and pharmacokinetics related to CNS-based therapeutic targets/indications.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
