Job Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician IV to support the U.S. Navy in Crane, IN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the AEA division in Electro-Mechanical repair and Machining support for multiple DoD Systems across all NSWC Divisions.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
  • Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions, collect and maintain technical data, and support engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of electro mechanical systems.
  • Prepare inputs for test plans, review test plans and procedures, conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing, and analyze test results.
  • Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials, and use judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree and at least 4 years of related experience or High School Diploma and 6 years of related experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; Interim Secret needed to start.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to work from schematics and engineering drawings.
Desired Qualifications
  • Soldering experience preferred, but not required.

SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline. Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
