Georgia State University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Limited-Term Instructor position in the Department of Mathematics at Perimeter College. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching college-level mathematics courses, including Quantitative Reasoning, Elementary Statistics, College Algebra, and PreCalculus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach 18 semester hours of instruction per semester
  • Maintain at least 8 office hours per week
  • Work effectively, collaboratively, and professionally with faculty, staff, and students
  • Connect students with institutional resources to promote student success and progression

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Master's degree in Mathematics (completed by the date of appointment) or a minimum of a Master's degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate credit hours in mathematics coursework (completed by the anticipated date of appointment)
  • Experience teaching a variety of undergraduate college-level mathematics courses
  • Experience engaging with and teaching a diverse student population

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience incorporating evidence-based pedagogy and/or innovative instructional technology in mathematics
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and computer skills

The Department of Mathematics at Perimeter College provides students with a strong foundation to transfer to a four-year college and continue into the workforce or graduate studies. The department offers a range of mathematics courses, including STEM and MESA programs, to help students succeed.
