Position Overview

Functional Areas

We're looking for interns to join our team in one of the following areas:

  • Direct Material Procurement (Cabin, Chassis, Powertrain, or Aftersales)
  • General Purchasing Services / Goods
  • Purchasing Program Management
  • Supply Chain Risk Management
  • Procurement Processes & Systems
Internship Details

Durations: Summer 2025 (12 weeks)

Location: Lisle, IL

Responsibilities

Potential projects could include:

  • Vendor Consolidation Strategy and Tail Spend Analysis
  • Establish process for Supplier Capacity/Lead time documentation
  • Assist with data mining information to formulate Category Strategies– i.e., Liaison with the Engineering teams to get technical details for the strategy
  • Assisting in CSA negotiation and execution
  • Optimization of Aftermarket processes and part number rationalization
  • Creation and maintenance of Procurement dashboards and systems
Requirements

To be eligible for this internship, you must:

  • Pursue a Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Be at least a Sophomore standing for undergrad at the time of application
  • Have a high level of computer skills (Microsoft Applications and Internet)
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be interested in transportation/automotive industry
  • Have excellent time management skills
  • Be detail-oriented
  • Be a team player – willing to work with others inside and outside your department
