Position Overview
DPS Group LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Department Manager to oversee our electrical engineering division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Laboratory and Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology engineering project execution, coupled with proven leadership skills.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of the electrical design team.
  • Lead site master planning, conceptual designs, and preliminary engineering phases while supervising detailed design activities.
  • Offer technical direction and innovative solutions to the electrical department and clients.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineering personnel.
  • Contribute to the establishment of departmental systems, procedures, standards, and knowledge management practices.
  • Engage in project proposal preparation, man-hour estimation, and client presentations.
  • Participate in industry conferences, contribute to publications, and stay informed on emerging industry trends and technologies.
  • Develop and implement programs to address existing or potential electrical engineering challenges and enhance plant performance.
  • Provide technical support to operations teams in resolving intricate electrical system issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in Laboratory, Biotechnology, and pharmaceutical facility design and construction.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of switchgear design, low, medium, and high voltage systems, and single line diagrams.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing project safety, quality, and delivery.
  • Experience in project engineering coordination activities.
  • Customer-focused with strong communication and listening skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Navisworks.
