Job Summary

This tenure-track position requires a candidate with a strong background in Computer Engineering, research experience, and excellent teaching skills. The ideal candidate will be expected to establish a robust research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and engage in service activities within the department and university.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching: Deliver high-quality instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including developing and teaching core and elective courses in Computer Engineering.
  • Mentoring and Advising: Provide academic and career guidance, supervising undergraduate and graduate research projects, advising student organizations, and contributing to students' professional development.
  • Research: Establish a strong research program in one or more areas of Computer Engineering, secure external funding from federal and industry sources, publish in high-quality venues, and contribute to the university's strategic research initiatives.
  • Service: Engage in service activities within the department, college, and university, as well as professional service to the academic community.
Requirements

The successful candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a related field, have research experience, and excellent teaching skills. A master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field is preferred. The candidate should also have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, advising, and research.

Working Conditions

The University of Idaho offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The position comes with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
