Position Summary:
The Culinary Service Attendant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our residents and their guests. This position involves taking meal orders, serving food, and providing assistance to ensure a pleasant atmosphere during mealtimes. We offer various full-time and part-time schedules to accommodate different lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet residents warmly and take their dining orders with a friendly demeanor.
- Familiarize yourself with residents' names, preferences, and dietary needs.
- Prepare the dining area, ensuring all necessary items for service are available (cutlery, napkins, menus, etc.).
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the dining area, kitchen, and serving stations.
- Follow safe food handling practices at all times.
- Help prepare beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service.
- Support residents with any special dining requests they may have.
- Ensure all residents are accounted for during meals and document their attendance accurately.
- Assist with special events and activities as needed.
- Participate in all scheduled training sessions to enhance service skills.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and community policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma preferred; GED accepted.
- At least one year of experience in fine dining or full-service senior living.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with senior populations is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- This role requires standing, walking, sitting, and using both fine and gross motor skills.
- Must be able to lift or carry weights up to 50 lbs and assist residents as needed.
